Julia + Chris’s Country Club Wedding, Burlington, ON

Classic, sweet and petite were all keywords in putting together the flowers for this Burlington Wedding. Julia and I inject a little colour by adding a touch of blush to her white and green palette. She knew that she wanted to keep things on the smaller side so her bouquet wouldn’t overwhelm her small frame. I feel like everything came out perfect: full and gardeny and but still neat and petite.

The Crosswinds Golf + Country Club is a gorgeous place for a summer wedding. Julia + Chris had an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful garden “room” surrounded by high hedges. This gave privacy from any club members and had a romantic, Secret Garden vibe. Because the space was so beautiful to begin with, it didn’t need much. We used full, trailing greenery pew markers finished with ribbon to accent the chairs along the aisle. After the ceremony, we repurposed those pew markers to the head table. Overlapped end-to-end, they created the look of a full garland.

As greenery was a central theme to this wedding, we dressed about half of the tables with pillar candles and greenery alone. Chic, clean and minimal. This alternate centrepiece style was a perfect compliment to the small, garden-style compotes on the remaining tables and the faux-garland on the head table.

Big shout out to Karina Anne Photography for capturing everything so beautifully and to the Crosswinds for having such a beautiful, light-filled reception room!
