Aya + Scott’s Niagara Orchard Wedding

Aya + Scott tied the knot on a perfect day back in August. Complete with blue sky, and puffy white clouds here and there, Gracewood Estates was the perfect backdrop for this Niagara orchard wedding. Enjoy the beautiful images captured by Kendra Ruth Photography.

Aya wanted a classic, elegant colour palette that would feel timeless but she didn’t want to go with all white. We decided on playing with a few muted pastel tones to give more depth and the result was feminine without being froufrou and classic while still feeling current and fresh. Given how beautiful the white tent at Gracewood Estates is, Aya + Scott didn’t want to over-do the flowers. We went with small, simple centrepieces and real wax LED pillar candles to add a little floral interest and glow to each table.

Danielle from Blooms & Bowties, styled loose florals on the venues wine barrels to enhance the ceremony space. *Planning tip* check with your Coordinator to see if they’d be able to help with placing centrepieces or repurposing florals after the ceremony. As you are working with your florist, make sure they know there will be an extra set of hands. This set-up help might decrease the delivery/set-up cost and save you money at the end of the day!

Are you planning your wedding and getting stuck on the florals? A lot of florist that specialize in weddings have minimums that might be out of reach if you are having a small or simple wedding. If, like this couple, you are looking for simple centrepieces + flowers for your bridal party, Acorn might be the perfect fit for you! Check out what we have to offer and place your order online. Recruit a groomsmen to pick-up the flowers the morning of and ask your coordinator (or excited aunty!) if they can take care of placing the florals. Check, check. Wedding flowers sorted. Problem solved.
